It started in Eindhoven with a fantastic breakfest made by Stephan, I really enjoyed the talks and also his roommate left me a note: nice guys!
I started my journey (much too late 10:00), first going to the Thêta, my old rowing association. Then I traveled along side several villages, but i went wrong two times. By the time I hit the 30km mark on my map, I already had 36 on my km counter, this does not look good...
So from then on I started using OSM, a great app with free maps (no data needed), thanks Aleks and Tanja!
I continued my route, drank something in Maasbree, and pased the German border near Venlo.
Germany! :D It started of with some light hill climbing, pretty easy. But than a sign came up: 6% inclination... umpf! That's hard work!
The rest of the journey went great!
Good weather and German asphalt; I love this country already! :D In Düsseldorf a nice lady (Ana) opened the door, she also had another 21 old Swedish couchsurfer over, studying German here. After a much needed shower we went to the University to do some culture: German poetry! ... that's something new :p
Thereafter we went to the Alt-stad, very nice and busy. Luckely I have tried all beers 3 months ago, so I didn't miss anything ;)
The stay at Ana was great, when I came back we talked some (English, German and ofcourse Srpski!), and arround midnight I went to bed.
