The day started early: at 06:55 my timer was beeping and I ate the sandwiches Slanka made for me the day before, thanks! 08:20 I started cycling: the weather was quite pleasant, only 25 degrees, but more importantly there were a lot of trees :)
During my trip I saw an orange Lamborghini Galardo ('in the corner of my eyes') so I wanted to take a closer look, when suddenly a big truck horned at me; he didn't like me swifting over to the other lane apparently... During this trip I have had several encounters with German traffic: some people don't like it when I cycle on the sidewalk (sometimes it is not clear were to drive) and others don't like it when I'm driving on the B-roads... What can you do? Not much, just keep on going ;)
The route along the Main was very nice, I can definitely recommend it. I saw many people swimming or chilling on the camp site, it was a nice site.
In the end I came to Kreuzwertheim, but first I had to climb a hill, and what a hill! Ones I was up there, I sweated like an otter, while introducing myself to Christian. He was an interesting guy with interest in sustainability and survival techniques. After diner we went to the town (Wertheim), to the Biergarten! Sadly no beer for me, but large cokes instead. Christian had invited his friends (also couchsurfers which I had contacted) which were nice. I even had some autobahn-conversation with a girl, I really like this country! ;) Next we went to an outdoor beach club, chilling in the sand on beach chairs, drinking (non-alcoholic) cocktails. It was a lot of fun, and it was sad we had to go home early because of my trip. Half past one we were home and we went to sleep. :)
